PLC Controls Technician needed for a direct hire opportunity with Yoh's client located in Emporia, KS.

- Electrical 480V 3 phase and 24vdc control equipment (troubleshooting)
What You'll Be Doing:
- The PLC Controls Technician's prime responsibility is the maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement of all packaging and process systems, including site auxiliary equipment, in a safe efficient manner.
- The elimination of breakdowns is of prime importance.
- The PLC Controls Technician will report to and provide a daily summary of work the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager and will be assigned work by the maintenance planner as needed.
- This position has a requirement to do some overtime when requested.
- The Controls Technician will be an active member of the maintenance team.
- This job does not directly supervise anyone, but may indirectly supervise an apprentice electrician on an infrequent basis.
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Solid working knowledge of governing Electrical Code and Safety requirements including NFPA 70E is required.
- High School diploma or GED
- Technical College or Vocational training an asset
- Minimum five (5) years industrial environment
- Must be able to do programming on Allen Bradley Ladder Logic and trouble shoot
- Must understand Logix 5 5000, and Control Logix's software
- Working knowledge of Ethernet communications
- Availability to work nights as needed.
